ADESS LMP3 CAR READY TO COMPETE IN NORTH AMERICA IN 2018
LISBON, Portugal – Nov 1, 2017. Throughout the 2017 racing season, the ADESS-03 LMP3 race car competed in the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup and the “Road to Le Mans” event. The team Infinity Race Engineering achieved encouraging results, scoring six podiums in six races in the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup and finishing second in the team standings.
In the meantime, Advanced Design and Engineering Systems Solutions AG continued the development of its ADESS-03 LMP3 race car and recently unveiled a new full-carbon bodywork kit and other updates, approved by the ACO (Automobile Club de l’Ouest), that will be fitted on every new ADESS car and is now ready to compete on North American racetracks with the rest of the LMP3 car makers.
In addition, ADESS AG’s founder, Stéphane Chosse, welcomed a new business partner, who invested in the car maker and helped the company move to Portugal. The arrival of one of the leading automobile industry movers-and-shakers, Carlos Tavares, who was seduced by Chosse’s personality and ambition to win, gave a powerful and exciting new motivation to the car maker and the LMP3 program.
Following that very encouraging news, ADESS AG is now ready to move forward and start doing business in North America to market its LMP3 race cars. ADESS AG’s ambition is to have an ADESS-03 LMP3 on the grid of the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda series’ inaugural race at Daytona International Speedway in January 2018 and to support its customers with parts and service.
“We are pleased with where our company is heading, and it is time for ADESS AG to market and sell race cars in North America,” said Stéphane Chosse, CEO of ADESS AG. “We are pleased with the new one-hour-45-minute race format, introduced by IMSA for the 2018 IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda series. This will offer longer races in 2018, and I think it is perfect for LMP3. ADESS AG is excited to see our ADESS-O3 cars roar through such iconic North American racetracks soon. We admire the American spirit of racing, and the teams look fantastic in action. With the new full-carbon bodywork kit, our LMP3 car is better than ever, and we want to be a part of America’s racing history.”
ADESS AG’s design, engineering and production activities are now conducted from a new state-of-the-art headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal, just a short distance from the Estoril and Portimão racetracks, to allow for development of the LMP3 car.
ADESS AG is devoted to designing, building and developing racing cars and motorcycles, high-performance cars and electric vehicles of the highest standards.
ADESS AG is engaged in an increasing number of consultancy projects in cutting-edge technology. Its continuous drive for innovation, continual improvement of processes and pursuit of excellence have helped it in numerous projects in and outside the motorsport arena.
A new ADESS-03 should be available at the 2017 IMSA December test on Tuesday, December 5 at Daytona International Speedway.
